48 year-old Seng Chantha, wife of Oknha Khaou Chuly, founder and chairman of Khaou Chuly MKK Co., Ltd and Khaou Chuly Group, has been arrested on the afternoon of Wednesday 7th July on charges of attempted murder of Sun Sutha, her stepdaughter and wife of Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, reports Koh Santepheap.
Lady Seng Chantha, the second wife of octogenarian Oknha Khaou Chuly, was charged with the attempted murder of Sun Sutha, daughter of Oknha Khaou Chuly from the previous marriage. She has allegedly hired Sun Sutha's domestic workers to rape and kill her inside her home on 13th June when her husband was not home. On 16th June, Mrs. Sun Sutha complained to the police and the 4 alleged assailants were arrested and told police they were hired for $5,000 by Lady Seng Chantha to break into the house and rape and kill Mrs. Sun Sutha.
The reason of this family's saga is unclear, however, there are speculations that the family feud seems to stem from family business disputes and dispute over the family's wealth.
According to Cambodian Express News, Seng Chantha has been sent to detain at Preysor Prison on Thursday, 8th of July.

I think it is a set up. I believe it is a family dispute over business and wealth. There is no evidence of a plot to assassinate. Only a complaint from the alleged victim. Anybody can just accuse anyone, but the police and court must look at the proof and evidences first before arresting and put someone in jail. Look like there will be a big fight between and the father (Chuly) and a daughter (Sutha).
