A senior Saudi official told Cambodian officials that Saudi Arabia needs between 2000-5000 Cambodian workers per month to work in Saudi Arabia, reports everyday.com.
During a meeting with Mr. Osman Hassan, Secretary of State of Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, on 2nd June, Mr. Sa-Ard Ahmeda, chairman of the Saudi Arabian National Committee for Workers Recruitment, said Saudi Arabia needs between 2000-5000 Cambodian workers to work as domestic helpers, nurses, doctors, domestic drivers, office workers as well as heavy machinery operators.
Mr. Ahmeda assured the Cambodian officials that the Cambodian workers will earn a salary of $160 per month, instead of $120-$130 in other countries. Mr. Osman Hassan said that for Cambodian workers in Saudi Arabia, the government will not deduct any taxes from their salary, but workers in other countries had to pay various taxes.
