LACK of domestic processing is preventing Cambodia's agricultural products from being sold directly to end-market buyers, while Thailand and Vietnam take advantage of the country's raw material supply, including that of cashew nuts, according to a senior Ministry of Commerce official.
At a government-backed trade facilitation workshop, Ministry of Commerce Secretary of State, Mao Thora, said that a dearth of processing plants means that Cambodia's agricultural industry is neither recognised nor rewarded adequately for its produce, the Phnom Penh Post reported.
