Tourist police and volunteers made several arrests of Khmer beggars at a local market near Thepprasit Housing Authority and along 2nd Road on Friday evening.
There were 30 arrests, 14 young mothers, 14 children and 2 handicapped men all of whom had illegally entered the Kingdom.
A police officer revealed, according to detectives, that most of the beggars that cross over Thailand’s borders are being organised by a group of Thais who are suspected of human trafficking and Police have been attempting to track them down for some time.
