Thai people from three provinces give up Thai citizenship

By Khmerization
Source: everyday.com

Thai people from three northeastern provinces have decided to return their Thai IDs and citizenship documents to the authority in protest against discrimination and unequal treatment from the central government in Bangkok, reports everyday.com.

Everyday.com quoted an unnamed Thai newspaper as saying that the majority of Thai people living in the northeastern province of Mukdahan have decided to return all their ID papers and citizenship documents to the Thai authority and told them that they just want to give up their Thai citizenship. They did not say what country they want to become a citizen of, but just said that they want to give up Thai citizenship because they said the present Thai government is racist and is killing its own people over recent bloody crackdown on the red protesters in Bangkok.

Mukdahan province borders with Laos and is populated mainly by ethnic Laotian people.

At the same time, the majority of Thais from Ubon and Sisaket provinces have also decided to return their ID papers and citizenship documents to the Thai authority in protest of discrimination and unequal treatment from the present Thai government. They said they hate the present Thai government that maltreated the poor people who are Thai citizens like them. They said the present Thai government is treating Thai people differently based on a caste system.

Ubon province borders with Cambodia's Preah Vihear province, while Sisaket, known in Khmer as Kauk Khan, borders with Cambodia's Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces. These two provinces are mainly populated by ethnic Khmers.

People from these provinces are mostly ethnic Laotians and Khmers, known as the Thai Issan or northeast Thais, who are poor and have been looked down by the ethnic Thais and neglected by the Thai central governments, mostly led by the elite ethnic Thais in Bangkok, for centuries. They made up the core supporters of the red shirt movement that have been brutally cracked down in Bangkok a few days ago.

This is just a political maneuvering and tactic. However, if the Thai government agrees to let them give up their citizenship, where can they go? To Cambodia and Laos or secede the provinces from Thailand? It is impossible. But this symbolic action could scare the Thai government a bit because if all citizens in provinces populated by ethnic Khmers and Laotians take things seriously and mobilize troops to secede the provinces from Thailand, it could trigger a bloody civil war.

Due to Thailand's political and economic division, and discrimination in its society, Thailand is very vulnerable to violence and unrest which may lead to civil war. There are three provinces of Muslims in the south that had wage violence clashes against the Thai government, possibly for independence, and now three more provinces in the east that are now beginning to question themselves of their identity and their own future. Could they want their own independence as well...?

It is in every heart and mind of every Khmer to re-unite with their long lost brothers and sisters who had been brainwashed by Thai to hate Khmer and to see that the grass on Thailand's side will always be greener. Maybe this might change their view. Khmer will always be Khmer, to re-unite with the long lost Khmer would be a great thing. If violent and political unrest persist, this will escalating throughout the kingdom, and Thailand will be experiencing a part of its history that was experienced by the Khmer Empire in the 14th century. It was a weakening of a central government system that lead to a rebellion and wars which ultimately split the empire and created three kingdoms in the process.

Cambodia need to be prepared for the worst outcome. The worst is, if hell gone loose in Thailand, Thailand will react irrationally as she had always done. Thailand will attempt to wage war with Cambodia by blaming Cambodia for the cause. Cambodia must always be on the alert and vigilance at all time. If such civil war broke out in Thailand, there also will be mass exodus of refugees flooding into Cambodia and its neighboring countries.

The question is how reliable is this article and the source of this article...

Cambodian papers have been known to twist facts and produce false and misleading stories...

Hi anonymous Thai Newspaper.

We Thais aren't better than the Cambodians. We are more hypocrite than them and than the rest of the world.

King Richard III was standing trial for being accused of killing his two nephews, but we Thais lost one King, who was shot in cold blood by allegedly his young brother, the current King, we dared not to even ask who did it, but we crawling and crowning him.

Not even that we are forced to worship him like god who does no wrong, he and his family are the world richest and created "Les Majesty Laws" upon us in this 21th century. I don't know how long the poor people can take this.

If the King and his famly are good people then why are they afraid of? Why "Les Majesty Laws" need to be used?

We are taught to look down on the Cambodians, the Laos, the Burmese but our crown prince is a playboy has Aid, and his wife billions around the world saw her naked at the pool party known as a porn star. Our Queen supports and funded PAD against Red shirts who also Thais, and our Queen was famously accused by Saudi for stealing its blue diamond. Many people were killed and disppeared. Humm.. I have no idea that the position of King and Queen are so powerful like that in our land of no-more smile.

I too give up my Thai citizen from this hour. I am so ashamed for being a Thai.
