Dear Maggie and The Phnom Penh Post,
As someone who once had a heated debate with him regarding sex trades and sex slavery in Cambodia, I am not surprised at all upon hearing the news about the arrest of Alan Perry for child pornography and child prostitution.
After reading Mr. Perry's letter to the Hawaii Reporter on 27th March 2009, one is left with an impression as to what kind of a person he is in relation to child pornography and child prostitution. The context of his letter left an impression that he might have some involvements in the child sex industry and child prostitution using his bungalow business as a front for a cover-up. He seemed very sensitive to the issue and his letter was full of denials and squarely blamed and condemned girls and their parents for voluntarily entering child prostitution.
I was not alone in casting suspicion on Mr. Perry's possible involvements in the child sex industry. In fact a few of my readers who had some dealings with him in the past had attested to his paedophilia. Here is a comment from my reader: "Alan Perry must have buried his head in the sands or has he deliberately out to try to cover up the inhuman trades that he might have involvements through his bungalow business."
And here is another comment from another reader: "Mr. Perry is like many others who come to invest in this country but actually thrive off the corruption, sex trade and human trafficking and unstable law practices to make their business grow and get rich. One might need to ask if he is one of the people who purchase sex workers for his own pleasure! "
And here is another one: "having dealt with Mr Perry in the past i can attest that he is an absolute idiot who has his head buried in the sand..... He just prefers young boys as many people can attest to in Sihanoukville and was run out of one restaurant by two disgusted tourists last year who had to witness his flirtings."
I will not rush into judgement as to whether Mr. Perry is guilty of the charges or not due to the high level of corruption in the police and the judiciary in Cambodia. However, his rebuke of the Hawaii Reporter and his defence of the sex trades and child prostitution in that letter makes him the perfect candidate and fit the profile as a paedophile.

You may be aware that, as reported in the Phnom Penh Post today, American Alan Perry has been arrested and charged with counts relating to child pornography and purchasing child prostitution.
We note that Khmerization wrote a reply to Mr. Perry's rebuke of an article in the Hawaii Reporter last year and that Mr. Perry then responded to this reply

It's amazing that Perry's Guesthouse Raja Deva is a CHILDSAFE certified Hotel. He always had close ties to the STARFISH NGO Owner Erika Hilmerson a staunch ally of the CHILDSAFE Netwsork and active Land Speculator in Sihanoukville . Why on earth would Perry get himself into the trouble he is now, fully knowing what consequences would await him, if caught ? Does it mean one has to be specially aware of these CHILDSAFE certified businesses ?
Dear Sirs,
Please be advised that the DevaRaja Villa Hotel located
in Sihanoukville, Cambodia was sold to new owners in Dec
2009. The New owners have absolutely no dealings with Allen
Perry [the former owner]. The Hotel , Owners , and Staff abide
by all Laws and Regulations that deal with Cambodia’s Human
Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation laws. The DevaRaja Villa Hotel is a CHILDSAFE Hotel
Please in your news articles do not list the DevaRaja Hotel as
being owned by Allen [lowlife, scumbag]Perry.
RGDS,
James Kyker
