As part of the Discover Lowell Series featuring "More Than A Number," New England Quilt Museum will host a special display of Cambodian textiles and fabrics, organized by Light of Cambodian Children.
The museum's current exhibition is Kinder Komforts: Amish Crib Quilts. Visitors have the opportunity to compare and contrast the textile traditions of two very different cultures: the American Amish and the Cambodian. At 1pm on April 17, join us for quilt historian Gerald Roy's talk entitled "An Appreciation of Amish Color." Come see how it differs from the Cambodian use of color! Light of Cambodian Children encourages underserved young people to seek higher education, become self-sufficient, and serve as positive role models in our communities.
Tickets $7, $5 seniors and students, 2 for 1 admission for AAA and WGBH cardholders.
