Laurent company said it has the capacity to export up to 10,000 tons of Cambodian rice to international markets next year, reports Deum Ampil.
Mr. Lim Bun Heng, president of the Cambodian Golden Rice Association and owner of Laurent company, said that his company had imported new machinery and will be able to export 10,000 tons of Cambodian rice to international markets.
He said Laurent company, in a joint venture with Eng Por Akphiwat company of Mr. Uy Eang Heng, had imported milling machinery and packing machinery worth more than one million dollars from Japan. He said his milling factory, located in Thmor Kol district in Battambang province, has the capacity to mill and dry 300 tons of rice per day.
