Some MPs from the opposition Sam Rainsy Party and relatives have been given permission by Svay Rieng Prison Chief to visit the two jailed farmers, report Deum Ampil.
Mr. Prach Sim, Svay Rieng Police Commssioner, said earlier on Monday that he will use force and laws to block the SRP MPs' visit because the Interior Ministry had rejected their request.
However, the SRP had received the permission late on the afternoon of Monday 18th. On the morning of Tuesday 19th, 10 convoys of cars taking the MPs and local as well as international journalists and some relatives of the jailed farmers travelled to visit them in Svay Rieng Jail.
Mr. Chea Poch, one of SRP MPs, told Deum Ampil that the MPs and relatives have visited the jailed farmers and have seen the conditions that they are in with their own eyes.
