Canadia Bank’s owners received a boost for their riverside investment Tuesday when Prime Minister Hun Sen recommended universities hold their degree ceremonies at Diamond Hall on Phnom Penh’s Koh Pich (Diamond Island). Speaking at a degree ceremony at the conference hall of the National Institute of Education, the usual venue for such events, the prime minister said a shift in location would help ease capacity concerns. “Now we have a big location for over 5,000 people on Koh Pich” said Hun Sen, adding that students should contact Canadia to arrange ceremonies in the future. Koh Pich is being redeveloped as part of a US$200m investment by Overseas Cambodia Investment Corp owned by the President of Canadia Bank, Phung Kheav Se.

Remember, Koh Pich is a Canadia Bank investment and Canadia Bank is partly-owned by Hun Sen. So, here we see Hun Sen is using his PM position to promote his own business which is a conflict of interests.
yes canadia bank is hunsen's wife relative have created, lately they strugled with bad loans and investments all over cambodia. after the visit of viet and china leader a fews weeks ago, now the canadia became stronger than ever. is it a purely corruption ? also keep in mind the "koh pich" will be reserved to the rich only and i will not allowed poor khmer pple to walk around. this is true, i'm not exagerated, the canadia bank was looking for buyers/investors to invest in its luxury condos. and the canadia said it guarantee it won't allowed anyone unless your the owner or rich pple to be on the koh pich. please khmer pple this is khmer lands, we need to wake up and block all those projects
8:50 AM, if your claim is true then it is very sad. Koh Pich is Khmer territory so all Khmers can walk/visit the areas without restrictions. True, Canadia Bank is owned by Hun Sen family and Koh Pich must be owned by Hun Sen family too. Maybe he didn't buy the island, he just took it.
Well who said Cambodia now is Khmer Land? It belongs to Hun's Clan long time ago. Wake up Khmer
khmer lands is still belong to khmer, hunsen is just a local terrorist gang in cambodia. if we'r the pple can stand up, and destroy everything in his interest we will ein against such a dictature. there's no governemnt can control its pple forever, everything must be changed for good of the khmer pple.
Why are you guys attacking hun sen so much. Don' t you respect people property. Just look around srok Khmer long ago or after kr . It is better now. We need to stop pointing finger to the point of killing our own people. He is controlling you because he see fit. But I do agree that anyone who stay in office more then 10 years should step down for someone else to lead and I mean step down, quit ..... Not thru vote or thru pardon by anyone. I mean put the gun to his or her head and force to quit. After all if you are smart you should quit because the longer you stay the more people will antagony you. You should make laws and rule that way whenyou out of office you will be safe guarded by laws and rules . Look like Hun sen have made his day. Time to step down for your safety of you families and friends. True Khmer love and peace- bolsmi
how can u just said all those stupid things the 6:48, cambodia became today it's just transparency, the buildings, the technology, the tourism, ect.. those not came from hunsen's efford, it came from the international loans and 200 billions international aids in the last 10 years. cambodia, according to human right agency group, made enough progress of protecting the khmer pple human right and respect the bilateral parties, wich is opposition party and minority party, that 's why they allowed a huge amount of international helps to cambodia. if u think all these investments and economic evolution is from hunsen 's efford your comment is just an unmature on politic issues, so get more educated, there'r so many freedom press websites they critise and condemn the way hunsen govern the country.
Yes it came from donation but who gave that trust and security to let them gave it to us.YOU!???What do you expect Hun sen to be a trillionaire from year zero or something. You are stupid 842! U probably a billionaire, huh? Srok Khmer have to do alot by his efforts and lose our islands koh tral and other islands to leeches yuon is his effort to.if some of the good effort is not his then some of the bad isn't his either, right? So stop blameing him to the point of killing our Khmers. Of course you only blame because you can not get some of that donations and be rich and powerful like him. Oh ya, for you being poor and powerless wasn't his effort either, huh!!!!!??????? Dawmnass! Sorry to call my fellow Khmer names but my point need to get across.true Khmer love and peace
