The bodies of two Cambodian men, in a group of 30 Cambodian loggers, killed by Thai soldiers on 10th January have been cremated at Thailand's Huay Taman pagoda in Sisaket province on 12th and 13th January, reports Koh Santepheap.
The two loggers were killed when Thai soldiers started shooting indiscriminately at them while they were logging. The two, 19 year-old Oeun Eng and 32 year-old Cheng Socheat, were killed on the spot, 20 escaped and 8 were missing, but later 7 have returned home safely. The 8th man, Oeun Eng's father, 43 year-old Oeun Ol, who was shot has been missing ever since.
Oeun Eng's wife told Koh Santepheap that when a timber trade came to hire her husband to cut the timber for him, he said that he had made an agreement with the Thai soldiers and that all the bribery money had been paid to those Thai soldiers, so there won't be any problems. Because of an assurance from the timber trader, her husband and other villagers decided to accept the job. She said that two days after working in the forests, without warning, the Thai soldiers appeared and began shooting indiscriminately, killing two and wounding one, who is still missing.
Other sources said that three more people from the same group of Cambodian loggers were killed on the same day, but Koh Santepheap is unable to seek confirmation at the time of this article going to press on 14th January.

sad to read and to see. one day hunsen will be cremate by viet monk in the jungle.
So sad to see Thais treated Khmers like animals, while Khmers treated illegal Viet loggers very lenient- release them after arrested.
