Fugitive ex-Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra has arrived in Cambodia at 4:36pm on Sunday 13th December, reports Deum Ampil.
He, along with MPs from the Pheu Thai Party had arrived at Preysor Prison at 5:04 pm to visit the alleged Thai spy Siwarak Chotipong who was scheduled to be released from prison on Monday 14th. After talking to Siwarak and his mother for about 20 minutes, Thaksin and the delegation of Pheu Thai MPs left the prison at about 5:20pm.
According to Mr. Khieu Kanharith, Cambodian government spokesman, Mr. Thaksin will stay in Cambodia for a few days to give economic lectures to Cambodian government officials. "He (Thaksin) will arrive today," government spokesman Khieu Kanharith told AFP. "He will meet the Thai man (Siwarak)... and he will conduct one or two (economic) workshops in Cambodia during his stay."
It is expected that Mr. Thaksin will attend the prisoner release ceremony on Monday the 14th when Siwarak will be transfered to the care of his mother and Pheu Thai Party.

good to see thai and khmer get along. but kill the sneakies yuon out off khmer krom and koh tral. i wish the damn thai stop killing innocent khmer at the borders tho.yuon do no killing at the border but use and control our governments to the point of killing our own people.
Good that the spy is released, but Thaksin's visit will cause more tensions with Thailand and this will lead to further delay in border negotiations and other co-operations.
