Twenty one MPs from the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) who visited border pillar 185, where party president Sam Rainsy led 100 villagers to uproot six wooden border poles on 25th October, claimed that the border poles were definitely planted inside Khmer territories, report Radio Free Asia.

Mr. Yim Sovan, spokesman for the SRP, said that border pillars number 152 and 185 were planted inside Khmer territories and he appealed to the authority to take measures to re-examine the border demarcations. He said that the two border pillars that the MPs saw have encroached significantly inside Khmer territories. He added that Cambodia and Vietnam will plant thousands of these pillars, so Cambodia might lose much more lands than anyone can imagine.

Mr. Var Kimhong, Cambodian chief border negotiator, categorically rejected Mr. Yim Sovan's claims by saying that the border pillars were planted after proper surveys by technical experts.

Please watch the video of the MPs' visit to the border areas below:

It is a sign that people are not scared any more because their interests and the interests of the nation are at risk.

Hun Sen and Vietnam have something to hide, that's they do not want the opposition MPs and the world to see the border posts.
