On Sunday 29 November, Sam Rainsy, SRP President who is currently staying in France, called on the government to carefully think about the border problems, both the eastern and western borders. At the same time, Sam Rainsy hoped that he will soon recover his immunity back. However, he did not indicate the date of his return back to Cambodia.

Sam Rainsy danced around several questions; however he was right in saying that lifting the immunity was not for the first time and that sooner or later he would gain it back.

He will get it back, but it will be for a long time. I think the longer Mr. Rainsy stay abroad, the sooner his grassroot and core party members will desert him and his party.

He must return home soon and take charge. After all, Mu Sochua never run away and she is still ok.

Do I have a Bridge to sell?

-Sam Rainsy said on RFI that the defection reported in the news was propaganda and the numbers of his members defected to CPP was just [the] “air”... Which meant, “Zero?”

Check here for more info: http://khmerization.blogspot.com/2009/11/sam-rainsy-i-will-recover-my-immunity.html

-RFA also reported that SRP officials denied any defection: http://www.rfa.org/khmer/indepth/srp-hrp-reject-rumor-11302009053213.html

-Human Rights Party’s President Kem Sokha claimed that CPP's members have been defected to his party at the rate of 3,000 members per month. With this rate of such defection the CPP will lose 180,000 members to HRP in 5 years.

But, according to Kem Sokha‘s past prediction, HRP was to win over sixty seats in the 2008 election and that SRP’s members would defect to HRP by thousands… With that kind of numbers of defection, HRP will be rich with human, intellectual and financial resources an there is no need to have any support from overseas Khmers. Is it not true?

-Then CTN’s soy Sopheap has put up his own report showing over one hundred of SRP members including some HRP members have defected: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUQiDYw95TI

Are they playing with our head?

If you believe in all of these, I think I have a bridge to sell…
