The play, with a cast including Nhu Lai, Hoai Nam, Cong Dung, and Hoang Tung, was staged for the first time at the 2007 Mekong Experimental Theater Festival.
The play talks about the feelings and aspirations of a man with HIV and analyzes social issues like gender, sex, HIV/AIDS, homoeroticism, and violence.
It has been staged more than 50 times at universities and colleges in Vietnam as well as Thailand and India in the last three years.
The Mekong Arts and Media Festival 2009, organized by the Philippines Educational Theater Association, will feature a series of cultural activities to mark PETA’s activities in the last three years in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam, and China.
This year’s event focuses on social issues.
