On 27 October 2009, 18 SRP MPs led by opposition leader Sam Rainsy visited King Norodom Sihamoni on the anniversary of his coronation. Taking opportunity of this occasion, the SRP MPs informed the king about the living conditions of their constituents, such as human rights violation, silencing pro-opposition news media, plight of Khmer Krom people living in Cambodia, and the violation of Cambodia's territorial integrity by Vietnam during the current border demarcation.
