Passerby Lily Holt inside the Cambodian slum on High Street. Photo / Greg Bowker
The New Zealand HeraldPasserby Lily Holt checks out a Cambodian slum that sprouted in High St, central Auckland, yesterday to highlight human rights violations in the Southeast Asian country.
It was built by Amnesty International and Auckland University of Technology students on the eve of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
Passersby could sign petition postcards and write messages on the cardboard walls.
The postcards and slum walls will be sent to the Cambodian Prime Minister to represent New Zealand's support for change.
