In Bangkok, the capital, the "red shirts", as they are known, were marking three years since the former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was deposed.
While on the border with Cambodia, clashes broke out between nationalist protesters, known as the "Yellow Shirts", and police.
Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok.

the commatator of this video don't actually know the his story of the temple. Listen carefully to what he say. He said Preah Viha instead of Preah Vihear. He said the temple is located in thailand border (not true.
Yes because this reporter use book written by Thais to verify facts as a result he has been misled. But as a reporter, he should be factual and not to appear as taking side in this volatile issues. Yes I agreed he is ignorant.
These Bangkok-base reporters are quite bias in there reporting. They got their news through influential Thai media. There is little view on behalf of Cambodia side. When talking about issue of Thailand-Cambodia, Thailand has all the saying, Cambodia has little defense about Thailand claims.
You'll be hard pressed finding any unbiased reporters or news programs these days. Just take it with a grain of salt.
