A bunch of bullshit. Traditional friendship? How about traditional enemies. Vietnam has no friend, because it eventually stab its friend in back, take the lands, and laugh about it. CPP is a puppet government of CPVCC of Hanoi. If Hanoi tell CPP to wipe out its opposition and critics, CPP will do just that. The friendship between CPVCC and CPP are just between those two, but not with people of Cambodia. Most Cambodian people despise Vietnam, only a few that are the benefactors of Hanoi like Vietnam.
more true 927.i feel the same way and more about the yuon.they take our koh tral and called or tell us that they are cooperating and peace. and about the liberation part is the most diguisting and heart punching to me. yes they come in to kick khmer rouge but they have no right to take our land. every time we give them favor, they indulgingly take our land by force. we need to stop trust the yuon sugar coating.
How are the Vietnamese taking Cambodian land?
How is this different to the land given away to Vietnam by Cambodia's leaders past and present?
The erosion of Cambodian territory has been ongoing for centuries - all largely as a result of the weakness of Cambodian government and the need to retain powerful foreign allies who will ensure a friendly regime retains power in PP with the intent of reducing homegrown opposition.
History, as always, repeats itself.
Strengthening friendship with Vietnam means a subjugation by Vietnam and giving more lands and islands to Vietnam.
Cambodia has not got any benefits from strengthening relations with Vietnam beside importing nearly $3 billion of Vietnamese goods every year.
The erosion of Cambodia territory isn't necessarily by Cambodia but by a deceitful Vietnam. Cambodia leader don't just sign away their territory for nothing. Vietnam is fullfilling its ambition of Nam Tien, that is moving southward and expand at any cause, that is to acqiure Indochina and beyond.
After aquiring Champa using the same sleazy tactics as currently being use toward Cambodia, Vietnam had sucessfully expand its terrritory ten folds. Evensince Dai Viet escaped from the grip of China in 936 AD, it has always been a crook.
