SOME travellers explore the darker side of life, and sometimes even death, in their search for the most unique trip possible.
But should we treat the sites of the world's greatest atrocities as stops on a tour? Is it too soon to snap photos at the scene of Michael Jackson's death site?
The answers are always very personal. One person's bad taste is another's fitting tribute.

The question first came up for me at Phnom Penh's Tuol Sleng Museum in Cambodia. Was it okay to visit a place the Khmer Rouge had used as the centre for executions?
While there was something sickening about the idea – when we visited victim's skulls were still there – I have to admit I was still curious.
