A new website launched by the Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Saturday has caused a stir in the Cambodian local media as well as among top officials.
The website at the centre of the controversy, ilovethailand.org, claimed that parts of today's Cambodia were in fact Thai territories.
The website's claims make headlines in most major newspapers in Cambodia. Khmerization was the first site that has opened the debate on this controversial website when it received an email from a Khmer student studying in Thailand alerting the website's claims relating to Thai "lost territory".
Reaksmei Kampuchea newspaper picked up Khmerization's report. Then Khmer Sthapana, Deum Ampil and Khmer online website, everyday.com.kh, have all reported the Thai PM website's controversy extensively.
The major English daily, the Phnom Penh Post, reported that Cambodian officials are scurrying to investigate the claims. It quoted Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for Council of Ministers, as saying that "They (the Thais) are twisting the facts of history. It is completely exaggerated."
According to Phnom Penh Post, in 1794, Thailand - then known as Siam - annexed Siem Reap and Battambang provinces from the declining Khmer kingdom, but the territories were returned following a March 1907 treaty between Thailand and France.
And, according to historical records, other Khmer territories annexed by Thailand in the late 18th centuries include Kauk Khan (Sisaket), Surin, Sakeo, Nokor Reach (Korat) and many more provinces.

actually this video was post long time ago on youtube. I was told by a Loas friend but i did not take it seriously.... The claim that Siam annexed Siem Reap and Battambang in 1794 it is partly true, but the reality it is that Khmer always lived on that land and many other part of Thailand. It was governed by Cambodian and never under directly control of Siam King court.
889-1324 The Khmer Empire‘s dominions roughly correspond to present-day Laos and Cambodia and reached its height during the Angkor period (889-1434 AD). The kingdom flourished from the 6th to 15th centuries AD and then declined with invasions from neighboring Thailand.

I have a dream last night. In my dream I saw Thai use the Parachute Troopers to try to capture Preavihear Temple
We khmer should put out an web site that showed how big Khmer empire is/was during King Jayavaraman VII. Here is a link of the Khmer empire that was done by the University of Berkeley in CA.
http://ecaimaps.berkeley.edu/animations/2003_03_khmer_animation.swf. I'm sure some of you may have seen it already.
But I think Thai is bending the truth. There are lot of books that was written by Westerner or Western authors about Khmer empire that part of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam belong to Khmer during King Jayavaraman VII.
how about the correction, i did.
I may forget or miss some information about date..Please help me correct the date.....

I need update some information on it...i hope you all help me out...
thank you..
m looking forward to hearing your recommendaiton...
Because of Ah Kvang Hun Xen is dictator against the own people!!!Hun Xen kill, destroy and block all for Khmers.
All khmers have to stand up!!!
Please also remember that Trat, Buriram, Prachinburi, Thonburi, Bangkok and even Ayuthya were parts of the Khmer Empire during Jayavarman VII's rule. Khmer Empire extended north to the Gulf of Tonkin near Hanoi, West bordered with Burma and south bordered with Malaysia during King Jayavarman VII.
This is to remind the Thai both the King and politicians, that the Khmer already built the Angkor Complex including the Bayon,Preah Vihear and many other Temples, and some are still in today Thailand, long, long before the existing of the Thai people known as Siam from South China, Nang Chao. The innocent Thai people might not aware the true history, but Thai and international historians did.
Twisting the True can cause very Bad Karma. Beware! The more you twist, the more you hurt yourself very badly. It is Karma.
Accept the historical facts and live peacefully and prosper together. The Khmers wish to live peacefully within their own bounderies, recognized by international traities, specifically 1904-1907.
Nice said, I already correct my video, just take a look...
