Lawyer representing MP Mu Sochua has a written a letter of apology to Prime Minister Hun Sen and has also joined the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP).
Mr. Kong Sam Onn was a lawyer for opposition MP Mu Sochua in her case against Prime Minister Hun Sen but after representing her he was faced with disciplinary action from the Bar Association was disbarred also. He faced a series of other legal hurdles for his professional careers. At the same time, Mrs Mu Sochua was stripped of her parliamentary immunity for her part in the defamation case against Mr. Hun Sen.
Deum Ampil reported that on the afternoon of 6th July, Mr. Kong Sam Onn sent a letter of apology to Prime Minister Hun Sen as well as an application to join the ruling CPP.
A government official who doesn't want his name published said on the night of 6th July confirmintg the news. He said: "Mr. Kong Sam Onn, a lawyer for Mrs Mu Sochua, has written a letter of apolopgy to PM Hun Sen on the 6ht of July as well as asking to be allowed to join the CPP."
The same source said that Prime Minister Hun Sen has received Mr. Kong Sam Onn's letter of apology as well as the application to join the ruling CPP.
In response, Prime Minister Hun Sen has instructed his lawyer, Mr. Ky Teck, on Tuesday the 7th to withdraw all lawsuits against Mr. Kong Sam Onn. Mr. Ky Teck said: "By now, I have withdrawn all complaints against him from the Bar Association and lawsuits from the Phnom Penh Court in accordance with the advice from Prime Minister Hun Sen because lawyer Kong Sam Onn has admitted all his mistakes and wrongdoings."
On 23rd April 2009, Mr. Kong Sam Onn held a press conference with Mrs Mu Sochua in which they indicated that they intend to lodge a defamation lawsuit against Prime Minister Hun.

He has to feed his family. Blame the one eyed hyena.
Yes, blame Hun kwak. I think Kong Sam Onn is a good person but he has to feed his family, but especially he will be in big trouble if did not apologize and join Hun kwak. He has been disciplined by Bar Association and will be punished by Hun Sen's court, possibly a jail term.
Under Hun Sen's rule, Cambodia is very similar to Cambodia under Pol Pot. Shame on Hun Sen.
He is such a scambag. he is so coward, why he decided to help Mu Sochua sue Hun Sen? to become famous???
Kong Sam Onn's walking on the tight rope...he has no choice !

Kong Sam Onn ,you have done such unthinkable things . you are such a yellow dog . join them because you can't fight with them ? shame on you Kong Sam Onn . according to what you have done , i am wondering if anyone will hire a lawyer like you to represent them in court . i know i won't . in this case , your name and your career will go down as a big loser .
