A man posed as Deputy PM Sok An's nephew to cheat people

A man posing as Deputy PM Sok An's nephew to cheat people and to cause trouble for local authority has been arrested by Samlaut police.

Twenty-nine year-old Sok Van Long, from Phnom Penh has been arrested for not paying a taxi fare and for cheating people out of thousands of dollars by promising get them a job at the Council of Ministers where his supposed uncle, Sok An (pictured), is the minister. Sok Van Long claimed that he works under Finance Minister Keat Chhon at the Ministry of Finance and also claimed that Oknha Hun To, PM Hun Sen's nephew, is his best friend.

Capt. Kor Sun Kaing, Deputy Police Chief and Maj. Ly Bouy, Police Chief of Samlaut said that when the police challenged him to produce documents proving his relationship to Mr. Sok An, he confessed. The man was then arrested and sent to Provincial Police Headquarter for further investigation.

Could the guy be the real nephew of Sok An? In the past, relatives of Cambodian leaders have committed the most heinous crime and got away with murders.
