About 30 members of a network of people following up the Preah Vihear dispute on Monday morning rallied in front of Government House and called on the government to withdraw from the joint Thai-Cambodian statement of June 18 last year which supports Cambodia's unilateral listing of the temple as a world heritage site.
The joint statement was signed by then foreign minister Noppadon Pattama without prior consent of parliament.
The group, led by ML Walwipa Jaroonroj, an academic at the Institute of Thai Studies at Thammasat University, said the Democrat-led government should revoke the joint statement and formally inform the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) and the world community.
Thailand should also step up its opposition to Cambodia's unilateral registration of Preah Vihear as a world heritage site, otherwise it could lose its sovereignty over the 4.6 square kilometre border area under dispute and a 1.5 million rai of forest adjacent to Cambodia, said the group.

shut the hell up....you loss the case in the court, preah vihear belongs to cambodia, stop barking. cambodia can do whatever she wants. she has every right to put preah vihear in unesco. close that entrance to temple for good, build roads to the temple and promote tourism in the region, let the siem be hateful about it. Siem should have been grateful when cambodia allowed tourists to enter the temple from their side. that nearby town on the siem side benifits greatly form this tourism. thanks to their stupidly smart decision, they sent those damn siem prosters to jumped across the border, and later sent their soldiere to provoke cambodia. you shot yourself in the foot there buddy...you ain't getting shit now.
These Thai extremists will not stop until they get the whole of Cambodia. I feel sorry for an educated man like ML Walwipa Jaroonroj, who is a Morm Luang or minor prince, who has taken a course contradictory to history. As an educated man, Jaroonroj should know better that the whole of Thailand used to be parts of the Khmer Empire, that including Preah Vihear that he is currently fighting for. Shame on you Jaroonroj.
Freaking Thai's bastard, don't they know when to stop. The world know that Preah Vihear belong to Khmer. Even some part of Thais belong to khmer, but you don't hear us weeping. Evil will not win, just remember that.
