A Cambodian soldier stepped on landmine planted by Thai soldiers at Chak Chreng

A Cambodian soldier was slightly wounded when he stepped on a landmine on the morning of 5th July during a patrol at Chak Chreng, 7 kilometres from Preah Vihear temple.

According to Deum Ampil, the mine was presumed to be freshly planted by Thai soldiers.

Sources from the borders said that both Cambodian and Thai commanders cooperated to evacuate the wounded soldier to hospital.
