Sources from Preah Vihear have reported that Cambodian and Thai military leaders have met on 1st of June at Sombok Khmum near the Preah Vihear temple, reports Deum Ampil.

According to Deum Ampil, on the morning of 1st June, the Thai military leaderships including Gen. Krik Paksomsiri, the new Thai commander of the Preah Vihear area, Gen. Niru Kiatsiri, the Thai Deputy General of Staff and Gen. Panya Kiansan, the commander of the Thai black-clad soldiers met with Cambodian military leaderships including Gen. Srey Doek, commander of Preah Vihear region, Gen. Chea Keo and Gen. Hun Sophal at Sombok Khmum area near Preah Vihear to discuss about the border issues.

The Thai generals told the Cambodian side that the Thai military did not use heavy equipments to bulldoze the areas as have been reported in the Cambodian media. And Gen. Srey Doek has told Deum Ampil that he had invited both parties to examine Chak Chreng area on 12th June.

In the last few weeks, Cambodian media have reported that more than twenty Thai troops had occupied Chak Chreng area, considered to be Cambodian territory and refused to withdraw even after repeated requests from the Cambodian side to do so. There are reports also that the Thai military had increased troops number at Chak Chreng from 20 to 300 and the Thai commander named Arwuth Saenjak had been removed and replaced by another commander.

Gen. Srey Doek can't do anything without Hun Sen's orders. We should blame Hun Sen for being too soft and too coward. Look like Hun Sen doesn't care about Cambodia's borders at all because we never hear him say anything about the Thai encroachments at Chak Chreng.

you know what it doesn't matter if Hun Sen wants to do anything about the border disputed or not wanting to do anything for Cambodia or not, here is what I know that Cambodia is getting smaller; Thailand and Vietnam is getting a little bit bigger because both Thai and Vietnamese steals Khmer's land in the past and in the present. Look at South Vietnam, 20 provinces of Khmer's land that the French gave it to the Vietnamese in 1906s and the Khmer's goverment and the Khmer monarchy didn't even protest against it at all. I as a Khmer living oversea for the past 30 years, I think we Khmer (I mean all Khmer only care about our own pockets more than the national interest and we use the name Khmer to get money from foreign donors). I think we Khmer deserve to be called minority in our homeland.

Jaya, I agree with 100%. Our leaders, particularly the current leaders, must be blamed for all of these territorial losses.

Cambodian people elected hun sen's party to win every election. What to do ?

All of you are just complaining,
We should do something more, don't just sit infront of computer and complaint.

Find solution Please !!

Khmer people did not elect Hun Sen. He cheated to win. Hun Sen, as a leader, must find a solution to our border problems. He get paid to do the job. What we can do is giving suggestions like what we do here. But Hun Sen never listened to anyone's suggestions because he is a dictator.
