The Nation newspaper quoted the Thai commander of Military Region Two, Gen. Wiboonsak Neeparn, as saying on Monday that a National Park located opposite the temple of Preah Vihear will be opened for tourists next week.

The general said that the tensions at the Khmer-Thai borders in the areas had eased, making it possible to allow tourists to access the National Park. The National Park is located opposite the Preah Vihear temple and tourist can view the temple itself from the top of the cliff in the National Park.

Preah Vihear temple and Thailand's Kantaralak National Park had been closed to tourists since Thai troops occupied the areas surrounding the Preah Vihear temple on 15th July, 2008.

Sick Thai people!
They are always competing with Cambodian when they can't get what they want from Cambodia.

They want to try to gain benefits from Preah Vihear temple and later try to force Cambodia to open Preah Vihear to Thai tourists and we will forget about the lands near Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak that they have occupied since 2008.
