Thai army chief threatens to sue those who accused him of implicating in the assassination attempt on Mr. Sondhi's life

Reported by Khmerization

The powerful Thai army chief, Gen. Anupong Paojinda (pictured), threatened on Wednesday to sue anyone who suggested that he is behind the attempted assassination on Mr. Sondhi Limthongkul's life a month ago, reports everyday.com.

Gen. Anupong said: "I will exercise my legal rights against anyone who attempt to link me to that assassination plot. Mr. Sondhi will be accountable to what he said. Don't link me to the persons who were involved in that shooting."

Gen. Anupong reiterated he promise to cooperate with the police and will conduct an investigation on his army in relation to this assassination plot, says everyday.com.

A few days ago the Bangkok Post reported that Mr. Sondhi had accused Thanpuying Viriya Chavakul, who is very close to the military and the royal place, as being behind the plot to assassinate him. She denied the accusation.
