Sourn Serey Ratha: Mrs. Mu Sochua must stand by her words

Picture of Sourn Serey Ratha.

Dear All Associates,

I appreciated and accepted the word that Madam Sochua responded to my article "Parliamentary Immunity". She pointed that justice for her is a small issue but justice for the Cambodian people is more important. "My case is just one small case among many hundreds and thousands of cases that are part of a justice system that punishes the innocent" Mu Sochua said.

So the key word of her statement is "Justice", and Justice does not mean to engage in negotiation with exchange of political will. The bad behavior of Cambodian politicians is always keeping Political Will to replace People's Will, Legal Will and others. This is my concern since the beginning.

If everybody always has to apologize to Mr. Hun Sen, at the end, how could we bring JUSTICE to Cambodia and its People?
Finally, Cambodian people lost confidence because of those soft politicians. If Madam Mu Sochua withdraws her lawsuit against Mr. Hun Sen in a Cambodian court, then it is no different from Mr. Sam Rainsy who had withdrawn his lawsuit against Hun Sen from a New York court.

I encourage Madam Mu Sochua to respect her own words and proceed with her lawsuit against Mr. Hun Sen.
