Residents of Seven Makara district woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of gunfires between two groups of children of the rich and powerful, reports Khmer Sthapana newspaper.
The incident took place at 9:30 pm on Street 179. According to witnesses, a male, youth with one accomplice, driving a Lexus 470 with number plate "Phnom Penh 7078" got off his his car and started cursing another youth by saying "do you know who I am? I am a son of a general", after which he punched the victim in the face and also pointing a gun at his head.
The victim, fearing for his life, called Pov Dana, who is the son of Oknha Khy Pov, chairman of the Constructions Co. Ltd. When Pov Dana arrived, the general's son fled in his car by spraying three bullets at the direction of the victim.
According to police, this is probably a dispute over a love triangle. The victim and Pov Dana have been questioned by the police. The culprit has not been identified, but the police says the investigation is continuing.
