Gen. Ke Kimyan (pictured), the ex-army chief, was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister on 18th May, almost 4 months to the day he was sacked by Prime Minister Hun Sen as the Commander-in-Chief of the Cambodian Army on 22nd January of this year.
Government sources said that Prime Minister Hun Sen had personally presided over the ceremony on the afternoon of 18th May.
The same sources said that Gen. Ke Kimyan will officially start working as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of drug combat on 19th May. He will has his office at the Ministry of Interior, working along side his in-law, Mr. Sar Kheng, who is the Minister of Interior.
