Neay Kren (pictured), or Mr. Stunted in English, 30-something and a new rising star in the world of Cambodian comedy, will get married on the 28th of May in Preah Sihanouk province, reports Koh Santepheap.
According to the paper, Neay Kren's bride will be a young and beautiful normal lady of 20-something from Preah Sihanouk province who is a tailor by profession.
Mr. Chuong Chy or Neay Koy, Cambodia's most famous comedian, who is acting as Neay Kren's elder in the wedding, said that Neay Kren is very lucky to have a bride who is a very beautiful young lady whom Neay Kren knew for some time. Neay Koy said that he will help foot some of the bills for the wedding because Neay Kren is a meber of his comedy troupe who is still poor.
Neay Koy said that Neay Kren was originally from Maung Reussey in Battambang. He met Neay Kren when he went to perform in Battambang which Neay Kren had also performed. He noticed Neay Kren is a talented comedian, he took pity on him because he is very poor, so he asked Neay Kren to join his comedian troupe. Since then they became best friend.
Neay Koy said that many stars and artists as well as many well-wishers will attend Neay Kren's wedding ceremony, which will take place on 28th May in Preah Sihanouk province.
Neay Koy said he tried to help Neay Kren the best he could because without his profession in the performing arts, he will not survive because he cannot do other things because of his stunted body. Neay Kren is the only member of his family who is stunted. His other siblings have normal body.
