This fair attracted over 132,000 Cambodian and Vietnamese visitors, 62,000 people more than the previous fair.
The five-day fair brought in a total revenue of VND20 billion (over US$.1 million), doubling last year’s figure.
More than 200 businesses from Vietnam and Cambodia showcased their products at the fair’s 500 stands, featuring agricultural products, seafood, machinery and equipment, chemicals, construction materials, consumer goods, wooden products, handicrafts and fine arts.
The fair, co-organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the An Giang provincial People’s Committee, offered domestic enterprises, especially those in An Giang, an opportunity to promote their trademarks and brand names, seek out new partners and boost trade, tourism and investment activities around the southwestern border gate.
