The United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), better known as the red-shirted protesters, said on Friday that the group had planned to stage a series of protests this Saturday (25th April) after Prime Minister Abhisit had lifted the state of emergency in Bangkok and other provincial cities, reports everyday.com.
Mr. Som-yoss Brouksakasem, leader of the red-shirted alliance, said his group will hold concurrent protests in many big cities such as in Ayuthia, Chiangmai, Udon Thani and Nonthaburi.
The group had called for a protest in Samut Sakorn on Sunday as well, but Mr. Som-yoss said that planned protest had been cancelled, says everyday.com.
Mr. Som-yoss said the group is demanding that the government return the DTV-station back to them, which was ordered closed by the government during the height of the protests in mid April.
