Phnom Penh, April 8 2009 (Prensa Latina) Cambodia and Thailand agreed to limit with signpost the bordering area in dispute surrounding Preah Vihear Temple to avoid escalation of the conflict.

Official sources put forward that the two countries experts will inspect the area bordering Khmer sanctuary from the 11th Century to implant the fences that will delimit the field since next July.

Either Var Kim Hong from Thailand or Cambodian Vasin Teeravechyan, co-president of the Joint Bordering Committee gave detailed of a two-day meeting held in this capital focused on demarcation issues.

The results of the meeting refresh tensions derived from two armed clashes between the two groups' troops occurred Friday with casualties and some Thai people injured.

Cambodian authorities did not report casualties among its soldiers.

The dispute between the two kingdoms dates from the end of the French colonization but in July, 2008 became stronger with incidents that followed UNESCO recognition of Preah Vihear as National Heritage.

The Temple remained under Cambodia sovereignty since 1962 because of a decision of The Hague International Court of Justice but Phnom Penh and Bangkok have never delimit the common border clearly due to interpretations coming from different historical maps' versions.

The issue is expected to be tackled in occasion of the Summit of the Southern Asian Association of Nations in session this week end in Pattaya Thai locality.
