Srey Doek said that he has informed the Thai side of Cambodia's unhappiness about their surprised visit and request them to inform the Cambodian side first next time they want to visit the area.

Close observers of the Khmer-Thai border conflict said that, just before any mettings betwwen the Cambodian and Thai officials to resolve the border conflict, they always see the Thai military trying to cause troubles, like the deployments of more troops inside the Cambodian territories, as evident by the armed clashes on 15th October, 2008. They presume that this is probably the Thai tactics in trying to prolong the conflict.
