HONG KONG – Russian movie "Wolf" (Farkas) took top honors at the second edition of CamboFest film and video festival in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The festival (Dec 26-29) is an independent, private-sector-funded event inspired by a globalization studies course at Royal University of Phnom Penh. It was organized with the backing of the U.S. embassy in Phnom Penh, ANZ Royal Bank, Digipost and FilmCambodia. Other 'Golden Buffalo' winners included Tim Pek's "The red Sense," named as the best local film and U.S.-Afghanistan "A Life in Hashistan" directed by Tonya Dreher, selected as the best documentary. A number of international filmmakers attended the fest including helmers Matthew Jaik ("Where the Lotus Blooms"), Ella Pugliese ("Gigantari"), Norm Fassbender ("Not So Cruel, Today"), and Jamie Cohen ("Barber of Kigali").
