The office of the chief advisor of the king has accused the Moneaksekar newspaper of maliciously publishing untrue information and has threatened to sue this newspaper.
The accusations and threats from the office of the spokesman of Prince Norodom Ranariddh, the king's chief advisor, were made on Thursday after the newspaper has published the information accusing that Prince Ranariddh has asked Prime Minister Hun Sen to provide him with a royal residence located in front of the Meru Royal Ground. The newspaper has further accused Prince Ranariddh of requesting for the appointments of 200 of his loyal supporters to work in the Royal Cabinet.
The office of the king's chief advisor (Prince Ranariddh) has writtent to the Moneaksekar newspaper asking it to show the evidence and to make corrections, otherwise legal proceedings will be taken against the newspaper.
