John Barrowman is planning to adopt in secret.
The actor is desperate to open up his home to a disadvantaged youngster, but doesn't want to make a big fuss about it like other celebrities, including Madonna - who adopted a Malawian tot - and Angelina Jolie - who has given a home to a trio of children from three countries, Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia.
John - who tied the knot with his civil partner Scott Gill in December 2006 - revealed: "Me and Scott are definitely thinking about it a lot, but we're not yet implementing it. But if I did it I think I'd do it a little more less in your face. I'd just not tell anybody, it would be a surprise."
The 'Doctor Who' star also revealed he was banned from joining Scott, his boyfriend of 15 years, when he worked with orphans in Cambodia because Scott feared John would take all the children home.
He added to BANG Showbiz: "Myself and Scott are involved with an organisation called CamKids, which is a charity that helps disadvantaged children in Cambodia, and Scott gave up about three weeks of his time earlier this year. He flew out to Cambodia and built an orphanage with them. But Scott told me over the telephone that I wouldn't be allowed to come over, because if I did I would just want to bring all the kids home with me."
John releases his new album 'Music Music Music' on November 24.
