Workers from 10 factories, who are members of the Federation of Workers Union, have raised money to help the families of the two dead soldiers and the two wounded soldiers as well as other soldiers who are stationing along the borders. The money raised have be channelled through TVK Foundation on 21st October.
Mr. Vong Sovann, president of the Federation of Workers Union, told Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper on the 21st October that, for the cause of Cambodia’s territorial integrity and for the protection of the Cambodian motherland, workers from the 10 factories have raised more than 2 million Riels ( more than $US500) to help the families of the two dead and two wounded soldiers as well as other fighters stationing along the borders who are trying to protect Cambodia against the Thai invaders.
Mr. Vong Sovann also appeals to workers from other factories to donate money and materiel as much as can be done to the soldiers who are stationing on the border areas.
