(BangkokPost.com) – Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat (pictured) reiterated that his government comes from the people, and that it does not support people who break the law.
Mr Somchai, who visits Ubon Ratchathani province to chair the opening of the annual traditional event, said that Saturday is the first day in the past few days that he is happy as he has received warm welcome from local people.
He has been pressured by army chief Anupong Paojinda to resign to take responsibility for October 7 clashes between police and anti-government protesters.
The premier insisted that the government is brave enough to listen to voices from all groups, but added that his government is brought into power democratically.
