Angelina Jolie has claimed that it was her destiny to adopt a Cambodian child.
The actress said she played with some children on her first visit to the country and felt that she had left something behind when she returned home.
She added that when she went back to Cambodia, she had the distinct impression that she would meet her future son.
"It was the strangest feeling. I woke up one day and they were going to introduce me to a kid and I wondered how I would feel, and the moment I saw him I knew I was his mother," she said.
"I can't explain it and I don't know why I chose that country but it was absolutely meant to be."
Jolie adopted seven-month-old Maddox in 2002. She gave birth to biological twins Vivienne and Knox, her fifth and sixth children, earlier this year.
