SEOUL, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The chief executive of the Korea Exchange said on Wednesday that domestic stocks were expected to rebound in the second quarter of 2009, and that the bourse would buy stakes in stock exchanges in Cambodia and Laos.
'I expect a big turnaround in the second quarter of next year. Until then, (South Korean) markets will continue to fluctuate,' Lee Jung-hwan, the CEO and chairman of the Korea Exchange, told Reuters in an interview.
Lee also said that the Korea Exchange would sign a contract in December to buy 45 percent of the Cambodian stock market, which will open by the end of 2009.
