The UN food agency says a popular breakfast program for poor Cambodian children, which was suspended in May due to a budget shortfall, has resumed.
Bradley Busetto, acting country director of the World Food Program in Cambodia, says it started last week, at the beginning of the new school year, and will continue at least until early next year.
He expressed hope the program, which costs $US9 million a year will run beyond then as donors inject more funding.
The organisation suspended the program in May, for a month due to the soaring cost of rice and a budget shortfall.
