KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming visit by Advisor at the Amiri Diwan Ismael AlـShatti to Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar aims at activating agreements signed between Kuwait and each of the three countries, said Kuwaiti Ambassador to Thailand Hafeeth AlـAjmi on Wednesday.
AlـAjmi, who is also his country''s nonـresident Ambassador to Cambodia and Laos, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) in a telephone statement: "Advisor AlـShatti and a highـlevel technical delegation will discuss during their visit details of the signed agreements in order to begin implementing them."
He added that the delegation would also be briefed on the laws and regulations in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar in preparation for boosting bilateral trade exchange and economic cooperation.
The delegation will group representatives from the Foreign Ministry, Kuwait Investment Authority, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, the Civil Aviation Department and other bodies.
AlـAjmi also noted that these representatives would place the basis for implementing the agreements signed on the sidelines of the Asian tour of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser AlـMohammed AlـSabah.

Kuwait had signed a number of agreements with the three countries, pertaining to the encouragement and protection of investment, economic, technical and commercial cooperation. ـKUNA
