(RTTNews) - Sunday, Cambodia has accused Thailand troops of occupying a second temple in the Thai-Cambodian border, said media reports. The incident is latest in the ongoing dispute between the two countries on cross-border infiltration.
According to the Cambodian government, more than 70 Thai solders occupied the 13th century Ta Moan Thom temple, situated in a disputed area along Thailand's Northeastern Surin province and the Northern Uddor Meanchey province of Cambodia.
In a military aggression three weeks ago, Thailand raided and took control of Preah Vihear temple, another ancient temple on the Cambodian side of the border, resulting in a military standoff between the countries.
Commenting Cambodia's claims, the Thai foreign ministry, however, denied any troop encroachment in the area.
