Sam Rainsy will address more than 3,000 workers on Sunday July 6, 2008 at Botumvotey pagoda, from 2:00PM-5:00PM.

SRP PROPOSES THE FOLLOWING SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS THE PRESSING NEEDS OF CAMBODIAN WORKERS:

· A WAGE INCREASE TO SECURE AND ENSURE DECENT LIVING FOR OUR WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES;

· REDUCTION OF THE PRICE OF GASOLINE WITH REDUCTION OF TAX ON SALE OF GASOLINE;

· FREE HEALTH CARE;

· FULL PROTECTION OF WORKERS RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO STRIKE;

· FULL IMPLEMNTATION OF THE LABOR LAW;

· END OF POLICE USE OF FORCE;

· CREATION OF A LABOR COURT.

Economic growth can not be sustained with the lack of political will to end corruption. Economic growth can not benefit all if the great divide between rich and poor can not be narrowed.
