Baseball: Coach headed to Cambodia for mission work

Joe Cook (yellow) posed with his Cambodian baseball team during the Southeast Asian Games.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame baseball Coach Tom Dill leaves this month for Cambodia, where he is hoping to help promote baseball and help the people with basic needs. He's bringing along Joe Cook, a baseball enthusiast whose dream is to create a national team for Cambodia.

A fund has been set up to raise money to help pay for rice, mosquito nets and other essentials that Dill will be passing along.

Contributions and checks can be made out to Crossover Church of Rosedale, with Tom Dill Mission in the memo line and sent to Notre Dame High, c/o Tom Dill, 13645 Riverside Drive, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.
