Central Highlands Kon Tum province held a solemn ceremony at its International Cemetery on May 15 to rebury remains of 31 Vietnamese soldiers and experts killed in Laos and Cambodia during the wars. These sets of remains have returned to their homeland due to joint action by Kon Tum province, Lao’s Champassak, Xekong and Attapeu provinces and Ratanakiri province of Cambodia during the 2007-08 dry season. The burial ceremony was attended by leaders of Cambodian Ratanakiri province and a Lao Governmental delegation led by Deputy Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Tay Tenh Rua.
