I am a nationalist and a proud Khmer. I believe you (Khmerization) and KI media should work together to bring the issue of sharing oil with Thailand to light. It is known that the territorial dispute on sea is just a big lie for our oil. Why should we have to share 50% of our earnings from the oil with Thai when we deserve all 100%? Nobody has argued against this, and it is an issue everyone has already thrown into the garbage. Hopefully our government will not let this agreement pass and find a way for Cambodia to reap all the benefit to herself. We should not allow an inch of land to anyone nor a drop of oil to our enemies.

Khmerization: Thanks, Joe, for your suggestion. This blog will do everything it can to publicise the issue of Cambodia's territorial integrity, including our maritime borders, with our neighbours. Like you, I am of the opinion that Cambodia deserves 100% of oil revenues from the so-called 'overlapping areas' with our neighbours, Thailand and Vietnam, because those overlapping areas are in fact Khmer territories. The ball is now in the hands of the Hun Sen government. It must play this ball very cautiously with our neighbours. The Cambodian government should not allow one drop of oil or an inch of Cambodian territories to be ceded to anyone.
